@4RGUELLESl -- The more I read about the GF diffuser, the more inclined I am to pick one up over going cheap and using a translucent film canister (and I am embarrassingly CHEAP). The GF piece has a rounded shape in both horizontal and vertical directions plus it looks like it has a solid build to it. At first glance, it looks like just another piece of crap plastic, but I think there's something to it.

Good review. I'll repeat that it's nice to see someone your age as serious about this subject as you are. Too bad you'll probably not have use of a darkroom. You'd have an even greater appreciation of the possibilities than most. --Good luck and good shooting.

Because, it's better for the light to be lower and closr to the center or bottom of the lens then to be shottoting right out. This technique just works better.
