@gazbg123 Or just don't read it... I've tried, and Tolkien's style definitely leaves something to be wanted... Also, there's way too many silly names, and there's no overarching quest or anything really to it... It's kinda a creation myth, with a few battles, as far as I can tell from what I've read of it... Not really worth it in my opinion.

It's really strange because i just found and started reading the silmarillion,I found out about the Hobbit movie and started watching the behind the scenes video blogs and my friend told me about this album, big coinsidence.

@gazbg123 Heh, that's exactly what I do, too. Except I listen on Youtube, I never download 'cause half the time it's a virus. And, it's actually not illegal to do the try before you buy method, the law states if you download it you must delete it within 24 hours of listening to it, so we're both safe. :)
Yeah, I also don't listen to some if I know it's a good band.

@gazbg123 Actually, I don't, and I'm an activist against that, since I'm a lyricist/guitarist myself, it's hard work writing music, musicians deserve the money for making the album. And recording costs money. I do download individual songs sometimes to play along to or listen to, but not whole albums, and then I buy the album later. But I haven't done that recently. Not to mention, reading it is a problem too, it's long. I'd rather listen to it. :P

@Songwriter4God Yeah thats one of the best things i've heard all day, i'm glad there's people out there against all this illegal downloading and shit.
I download albums too see before i buy because i've bought so many albums from amazon and they turned out too be a waste of money.
EXCEPT blind guardians discography of course ;)
