Corrected aspect ratio. CS/ex-C&O 614T returns from coal-hauling tests in West Virginia, through Mitchells and Remington, VA 2/3/85. I always thought that it was Mitchell, not plural (or possessive without an apostrophe!).

  • That looks like an old Lima built Steamer. These Steamer bring a lot of good memories.

  • I really wish that was a routine scheduled passenger/mail train:-)

  • I wish they would just slap that whistle onto R&N 425 and let 'er rip!

  • Man!! That is some smoke!!! Dude!

  • @UnIonPacCheyenne I agree hot gases expand really quickly in really cold weather thus the big cloud of smoke effect.

  • superb!

  • It's mostly exhaust steam. From what I heard, its was really cold (something like -15F!) during the the coal test. In warmer weather, you wouldn't notice it nearly as much.

  • god shes gorgeous

  • Nothin like a C&O 4-8-4 Strutin' her stuff
