The 105th Annual Congress of the Irish Vocational Education Association took place in the Clare Inn Hotel, Dromoland, Co Clare, on 16th and 17th September 2009.
Highlights included:
- The Ministerial address by Mr Batt O'Keeffe T.D. Minister for Education and Science
- The Presidential addresses by Cllr Mary Bohan
- The panel debate on Upskilling The Principal Driver of Future Prosperity Reality or Mirage?
The above topic was supported by research data from Dr Philip OConnell, head of the Social Research Division at ESRI, and Paul OToole, new Director-General of FÁS, along with representatives of both the IVEA and the Department of Education and Science.
