Landing on runway 27L. This time it landed on the right spot, but not once, but twice!! I think the plane descended too fast and its bounced on the runway before the brake and reverse thrust was deployed. Anyway, nice flight on the A340 though, although my IFE not working throughout 7.5 hrs journey from Doha... Damn!!

ps: I'm sorry I don't have a video on this plane taking off from Doha. When the roll out began, my camera was recording normally before it suddenly jammed almost before we took off. You all should know how upset I was, it was a very rare chance in your life to be in A340-600 right?

  • i can't wait for my first flight on the A340-600 in december with Vigin Atlantic to Johannesburg

  • It's a really great and huge plane, you'll enjoy it :)

  • is it a little bit like a 330-300??don't think so (airbus power **:)..)

  • dunno, the fuselage is quite similar although it was longer for a340. but it is the longest airliners currently, and with four engines, that's makes it looks elegant, huge and powerful :)

  • bloody hell. that descended quick.

  • Thank U very Much :)

  • Makes sense, lol is that the official name?

  • @TonkatrainHONKHONK I've noticed on all 346 landings, the ailerons all deploy as spoilers, hence "spoilerons". I guess its just another measure to assure all the weight is transferred thoroughly to the gear! Not a crosswind compensation.

    Check out my videos!

  • lol i see what you mean. He must have been compensating for a crosswind or something =/

  • spoilerons?

  • Wow...didn't know this aircraft used spoilerons!
