Saturday 11th December 2010. The early winter snow has extended to a 3rd weekend and agains provides some superb shots around Esk Valley, Greenend and Beck Hole. Although the first shot looks like a steamed up camera, there was a lot of low lying mist in the valley. The wintery conditions still cling to the NY moors with temperatures barely reaching above zero. Southern Railways No. 825 operates the Santa Service from Grosmont and No. 76079 amd Black 5 No. 45212 head light engine to pickering. No. 45212 performs the Santa service from Pickering while No. 76079 operates the 'Moorlander' diner between Pickering and Grosmont.

More amazing images, 825 seemed to be struggling though, but that last shot of 76079 was superb....Thanks again...Bob

For all the smoke the S15 was making, the class 24 seemed to be doing most of the work .
