KELLY WILLARD - THY THRONE OH GOD

Kelly Willard (ex Maranatha! Singers) with one of my favorite worship songs, 'Thy Throne Oh God'.

This song will always remember me of my first weeks in Canada when I had mixed feelings of awe and discouragement. I was listening to pbn radio and this song gave me comfort and strengthened me when it seemed that all turned their backs on us the fresh (professional) immigrants. But God has been on His throne and He has reigned in our life and we give Him praise because He has made a way for us in spite of all opposition and indifference.

I first heard this song back in 1985.

Kelly is a good example of a person who has lived the life of Job, and still clung to her Father in heaven, not forsaking her integrity. I have followed her for many decades, admired not only her pure voice and original style, but all aspects of the life she leads.

Kelly has not only a beautiful voice, but a beautiful spirit as well. She and I were at one time related by marriage, and I can tell you first hand - you won't find a sweeter soul than she! Her music still touches me. God bless you, Kelly.
