In November 2008, a Taiwanese drama of Skip Beat! was announced in a press conference in Japan (Ariel Lin as Kyoko and Jerry Yan as Tsuruga Ren). But in January 2009, a few days before shooting was due to begin, Lai Cong Bi, Deputy General Manager of Gala Television (GTV) stated that the production has been postponed indefinitely due to factors such as restructure of the joint venture company in Japan and script re-write.
After going through many changes and setbacks, GTV's idol drama "Extravagant Challenge" is finally set to begin filming in March 2011. News has just been confirmed that Ivy Chen (Black & White) will play the main female lead, while popular Korean boy group Super Junior members Siwon and Donghae will be male leads.
This drama is an adaptation of the popular Japanese manga, Skip Beat!

haih..for truth i can never satisfied with the casts in Taiwan's version.i just cant watch it well i did try.Maybe its ok for those who havent watch/read SB or SUJU's fans maybe, but the casts are not that appealing to me. thou their acting Maybe good, suju members are well known but since skip beat is one of my fav,i have much bigger anticipation with the characters, i guess i just cant :))) eventhou they make it korean/jap version, if the casts are not appealing to me, i wont watch them :)
