The Zgrip iPhone Pro is a professional tool allowing the user to hold their iPhone steady in order to capture the best video possible. At $295 this professional device is pricey but allows for a lot of expandability supporting extension rods, tripod mounts, lights, external audio, and other add-ons. At the end of the day, the average joe capturing video doesn't need to spend this much to improve their iPhone video capture. However, professional set on using the iPhone as their camera will benefit from the control the Zgrip allows.

There is a consumer version of this grip, with fewer controls, coming sometime soon. Details are limited but the price will be much lower than the pro version. For more information, check out http://zacuto.com/zgrip-iphone-pro

  • you say its for professionals but what professional uses a phone to capture video

  • Everything Zacuto sells is OVERPRICED. They sell a $5300+ DSLR camera support setup for a $2699 (Canon 5d Mark 2) still/video camera. Who and why would anyone spend that kind of money. $5300 buys some nice lenses and other production gear.

  • is expensive zacuto i think owle bubo is better and cheap

  • hey that is a great video ...i am from Recife in BRAZIL SOUTH AMERICA ...

  • A Redrock micro rig is cheaper than that "stick" !!!!!

  • Dude that's only worth $30. Also way to copy thecreativeones names.

  • with the $300 just buy a new camera

  • just rubber band a stick to your iphone...

  • Yes it is expensive but you have to look at this another way, there are a lot of company's that focus on making virals ( videos that look amateur to generate publicity ). Apple them selves for one use this trick a lot (so do car company's, they call them spy video,s ... ). And these company's want there video to look amateur but not so much that its unclear what is happening. For those company's this is the ultimate weapon.

  • why not just buy a camera? steady, and some camera's do have true HD. The iPhone hasn't.

  • @n2productionsdotcom didnt find the 5300$ one, "just" about 4k is what i found. which includes the follow focus (1300$). you will not find much cheaper on a professional level. its very much the price that devides pro from am equipment.

example, my cam canon xha1: 4000$. add 1 SDI port and 1 TC out you have the xhg1@7000$.

but no1 needs a stabilizer for his phone, redicilous...

  • freaking redicilous - if you want to shoot VIDEO, get a camera, not a freakin bitchphone! doesnt matter at all if your phone videos are shakey- the image quality sucks, shakey or not..... professionals, lol... no professional uses a phone as a camera :D

ducktaping your phone to a stick has the same effect btw - what a fail
