WARNING: There is some profanity in this video, children viewership is not recommended. You've been WARNED! Also, cutscenes in the game may cause intense fits of hysteria, you've been DOUBLE WARNED!

Mega Man X4 was made by Capcom and released on the Sony Playstation and part of the Mega Man X Collection for PS2, X-Box and Nintendo Gamecube. This is the former.
Recording, gameplay and commentary done by me.

Considering we have the Rising Fire, it only makes sense to visit Frost Walrus. His stage is like most ice stages in Mega Man X games, lots of sliding and death pits/spikes. The first area is probably the harder of the two, but not very hard if you're fast. It involves snow trails, spikes and lots of jumping and dashing. It finally ends with some ice elevators to possibly crush you if you aren't careful Don't forget to get the EX Tank and Heart Tank here (I forgot the latter because I took the upper route at the beginning). The EX Tank is a unique item, as it will add 2 extra lives to your default count, making it harder to see a continue screen. Nevertheless, the mini-boss at the end of this area is ANNOYING. His attacks are not easy to dodge and he takes a lot of hits if you don't have his weakness, Rising Fire. Use it liberally if you do. The second area is simple enough, but there are more to it than just breaking ice blocks. If you explore a bit, you'll snag an extra life and also a W-Tank hidden in a block of ice. Afterwards, you have to deal with birds flash freezing sections of the level in hopes of making it more treacherous for you. All I suggest is to kill them quickly to prevent this sort of thing.

Frost Walrus suffers from easy Ice-themed boss syndrome. In terms of difficulty, he is the 2nd hardest of those thematic bosses (Crystal Snail is above him while Blizzard Buffalo and Chill Penguin are below him in that order). He moves much like Blizzard Buffalo, but is much larger and within a smaller room than Blizzard Buffalo. The pattern he usually does is walk forward, then charge forward, sometimes with a jump. After he realizes this strategy is completely stupid (2/3 health), he will try to use Frost Tower on you. This is where the fight gets a little harder but not too bad as long as you reacting well. When he starts to get desperate (½ health), he will use a stronger version of Frost Tower and this can make things rough, all I would suggest is to get on the walls before this move is unleashed into the room or suffer some nasty damage. However, Frost Walrus is most likely to be defeated on your first or second try.

Jet Stingray's stage is TECHNICALLY the hardest in the game. Blame the fact that auto-scrolling is present on this stage and dying instantly is just a mistake away. This stage is a game of memory and there is a VERY good chance you'll lose a couple of lives before you can make sense of it all, even more if you try to get the Heart Tank and E-Tank that are placed in evil spots. All I can say is have fun with this stage and don't worry so much about dying. It's going to happen, so enjoy your time and laugh through the failures! Both areas have their share of difficulty, the first area will probably kill you more instantly while the second will certainly force your bike to blow up a bit more from damage if you're not careful.

Enjoy the video!

  • Dear lawd fwast walwus is huge.

  • Squid Adlers Stage, is the horror impersonated :P

The Heart Tank at Frost Walrus is right at the beginning of the stage. It's at the lower path and you can't miss it at all..... well .......

  • 2:07 As many times I played this game I did not know the EX Tank was up there.

  • The EX Tank gives you two extra lives when you start a game, so you now start with 5 lives instead of 3.

    LINE count: 1

    No, Jet Stingray's stage. D:

  • Man, the Marine Base stage is my favorite stage. I can do it in one shot, usually.

  • Actually, it gives you two lives.

Your counter was at 1 when you collected the EX-Tank.

And I think Squid Adler's stage from X5 is much, MUCH worse.

  • Frost Walrus is so big he covers his description lol

  • That walrus has the biggest teeth I have ever seen. haha

  • I hate Jet Stingray's level soooo damn much!!!

  • Oh yeah, this stage when it came to getting the Heart Tanks and stuff sucked. >.< X5's is worse tho.
