Listened to the creator of this today on wnyc. A caller mentioned needing to turn off the feature if you are using wet wood. Cause it will conduct electricity. They did not argue the fact.
or you can chop your finger off, the choice is up to you...the only way your going to need a new saw is if it hits your finger, so a saw without this feature=bye bye finger. Seems pretty fair to me, i like my fingers...
