during my way up to doncaster to meet YRF i stopped off at retford to see tornado fly by enjoy

tornado just had its certification lifted to 90mph hand they are hopeing to convince network rail to allow them to run the engine at 100mph on the main line

i very much doubt they will let her go 100mph 90 was the original intention from the A1 loco trust. also there is no news/info of this on the A1 loco trust or uksteam info websites so until i hear otherwise it's 75 like the A4s and others

and id say she's doing 75 here alot of video's of steam on the mainline that dont look as fast its usually in the 60's or 70 when they are doing 75 mph its a little decieve'ing cause the mark I coaches are a bit shorter than modern day coaches so it makes it look like its a tad bit faster than it is

The line speed doesnt matter. ALL steam engines running on the mainlines are limited to 75mph regardless. Having said that it does look like its going somewhat faster here.
