RAF Insworth exercised their Freedom of the City on Thursday 22nd June 2006. It entitles them to march through the City with Bayonets fixed, colours flying and drums beating.

  • The "civic" procession with the councillors was a bit embarrassing. "Quick March" indeed.

  • Absolutely bloody fantastic - listening to the band raises the hairs on my arms and watching these guys on parade makes me swell with pride as it should for each and every Brit!

  • Yup! I spotted that. More a case of "civic procession, by the center quick amble" couldnt the guy leading them at least get a haircut too :)

  • Not yet, we only have 2 front line squadrons with another for conversion and one more for evaluation, the RAF plans for more TND F3 squadrons to transfer to the type but as uaual its a slow process.

    However they can be seen around the middle od England quite often ^^

  • And British forces, and the other NATO allied forces have also liberated villages
