A review of the Dlink DIR-655 wireless N router.
I have used this router for a while and I can say it's very stable and gives a very good wireless signal for my wireless devices like laptop, iphone, itouch and other devices. I have tried many other wireless routers and this is hands down the best.
There were some earlier model that had firmware bugs so the newer firmware I have has been very stable.
Please note different environment may also bring different wireless coverage needs but my place is only 1700sq ft so it works great from 2nd floor to 1st floor also.
More info on the leds on the front panel:
Left to right.
1. Power LED
2. Status LED (blinks means it ready)
3. Internet LED (solid means a connection to internet port)
4. WLAN LED (blinking means wireless data transmission)
5. WCN LED (Use with USB drive in back of unit)
6. Local 4 network connection LEDs (blinks during data transmission)

I think it has to do with the firmware level that you are on. If you upgrade to the right fw then it should be fine.
