I'm just editing an old project paper that I once wrote on G.W. Pabst's "Die Büchse der Pandora" for university. I still haven't found out what exactly is so special about Louise Brooks, but there definitely IS something very special! Like Richard Leacock said: "She was the most seductive, sexual image of woman ever committed to celluloid". It's strange to see that even today so many very young people seem to feel the same way. She really has become an eternal icon.

Yes, absolutely.
She left an indelible print on the world and a different manner to see and understand the "Woman". She brought much in the feminist movement in this century more than which other during all our civilization. She really returned its noble letters to the Woman.
Thank you for your comment.
She was Divine too!!!

It made my heart sad to see this, not because of the content but to think of the quality of our film industry today.

Yes, you are right. To-day, all is based on the money and an emotional cinema like in 30's, it's finish. Fortunately, there are again many masterpieces like this one.

Yes, it was a great actress. What a pity, many films of her are lost but it remains Pandora's Box, Diary... Beggars of Life (her prefered film).
Thank you for your comment and to have watched my tribute.
See you soon,
