It is just sad to know her life story and to wonder at what she might have become had Hollywood at the time not been such a horrible place to work in. But then look at her life and how she hobnobbed with some of the wealthiest and most famous men of her time. My question is what did she really want in life as that seems more a mystery and how did this woman who shaped a generation wind up where she ultimately did. She truly was an eternal beauty and I am glad to see people are rediscovering her.

Stylish and outspoken for her times, maybe the strength of her character combined with an almost boyish appearance makes her a star. Sad that she walked away from a system she could not abide.
