This is a fantastic series that was well written and perfectly cast. It has been overshadowed by the success of Allo Allo, which is a great shame because it's as compelling and engaging as anything now. The wikipedia entry is a worth a look http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_Army_%28TV_series%29
As is the fan site Le Candide here http://www.survivorstvseries.com/Secret_Army.htm

Enjoy and spread the word, Secret Army is cool.

Licence Fee? For what? Do you folks live in a police state that you need a licence to watch TV programs?

  • Absolutely loved this series when it was new, great to see it again. Sense of period is superb, unlike many old t.v. films it stands the test of time magnificently - thanks for this upload.

  • great post,thank you

  • A wonderful series. I can believe that airmen could be as naive as shown - they were after all an elite, not like most in the Army. If the police co-operated with the regime, well that's what police do, enforce the law of the land, they do not make the land's law. My grandparents were Occupied. Those who were not have no idea ·····

  • watched this series in Iran in 1990s

  • Somehow an underrated sereis, and the theme music used to send a chill right through me!

  • hehe i'd rather watch Allo Allo tbh (parody on this ) , way more fun :p

  • Superb - I was captivated by this series and others in the seventies as a child, - My knowlage of WW2 is more than anybody I know.

Its like around the 30 year after point that they start to make movies about everything.

I think in the future we'll see some stuff about Iraq, Afganistan etc, etc, etc,

    Eh?

  • Love this series

  • Thanks so much. My family thoroughly enjoyed this when we lived in Europe in the late 70s. What a treat to find it again!
