  • This documentary proves that there are things about this war we have never seen. The footage is extensive and I have no doubt that there is a ton more, maybe some so graphic they don't even want to show it in a documentary. This is without a doubt the best upload on youtube about WW2, and a must see for WW2 enthusiasts like myself.

  • Thanks so much for posting this! This would have to be one of the finest documentaries ever made!

  • World at War, I think the best film ever made about war. He was in Merchant Marine and survived. He said anybody not scared in battle is a damn liar or nuts. I meant to say my father was in merchant Marine. Russian convoys were worse.

  • thank you so much for the upload! I think the most important thing to take from this documentary is how the nazis came to power and how an economic crisis which drives many into desperate situations can open people up to extreme ideas. Living in America I can't help but see a parallel. I would never compare anyone here to nazis of course, but the level of polarization in the debate along with the conditions that created it are eerily similar to that in germany in the early 1930s

  • should one feel sorry for the German treatment at the end of the second war? I think not

  • are there any more parts to this?

  • GerrettJihad

I expect you will have seen the series 'The World At War', produced by Jeremy Isaacs and narrated by Sir Lawrence Olivier? Music by Carl Davis. First shown here in the UK in the 70's. It's quite brilliant and a must-see for anyone interested in all theatres of WWII.

    Hope this helps.

  • russians wanted reparations for what nazi did in russia germans killed 20 million they should impregnated every woman

  • @GerrettJihad 'The Road to War' is good. Written and narrated by Charles Wheeler for the BBC.

  • @ImperialTexas hA I have watched em all 3-5 times, I am going through the Battlefeild series, which is very very good, also the second series battlefeild ll is great, and I like for King and country which is about us canadians.
