Badal trying to divide Sikh community

Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh accused Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal of creating the Sehajdhari Sikh controversy.

Demanding a probe into the whole episode, he alleged Badals wanted to divide the Sikh community for electoral gains.

Capt Amarinder Singh on Sunday continued his tirade against the Badals. This time he accused Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal of creating the Sehajdhari Sikh controversy. Badal's goal, according to the Punjab Congress chief, was to divide the Sikh community.

That was not all Levelling another allegation against the SAD, Capt Amarinder Singh accused the party of trying to vitiate the atmosphere by using proclaimed offenders, who's number, he claimed, was 20,000.

He also said that Congress' complaint against the DGP and the principal secretary would be taken note of.

Capt Amarinder Singh was in Amritsar to attend a programme hosted by Punjab Beopar Mandal. On the occasion, traders vowed their support to the Congress. Capt Amarinder Singh reciprocated by assuring to address their grievances when the party returns to power.
