@erick5598 - so did you ditch the stock y-pipe before this video as well or when you put the bullet and downturn tip on ? ... id like to keep my dual ... what im thinking now is thrush welded stainless( x2 ) - some cheap 3" tips or keep stockers - and res delete ... i couldnt pass emissions here if i ditched the cat ... did the extra 1/2 diameter really make that big of a difference for you ??? ill be sure to actually upload a video for ya once its done in appreciation of your help

looking to this same thing sometime soon ... was originally going to go flowmaster and res delete but after getting a few quotes for welding everything back up i decided to get the thrush mufflers ... gotta keep the cat's however because illinois does emissions and i dont want to pull codes ... how is the drone in traffic or highway cruising around 1800 rpm ??? and what mufflers from thrush did you get ... i have an 06 monte ss ... so im thinking the space is similiar

Well they are good for the money. I liked them before i took the cat off. had very little drone and when dod was on it wasnt to bad. After i took the cat off I hated how it sounded. I switched to a single bullett muffler which i also have clips of bit it is a lot louder which I like. If you do go with the thrush I would get a 2 1/2" Y and 2 1/2" pipe all the way back instead of the stock 2" and do keep the cat on. Hope that helps.
