In the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod Crane becomes the new teacher in Tarrytown, New York. There he meets the beautiful Katrina Van Tassel, daughter of a farmer. Ichabod is smitten with her. Unfortunately, she already has another suitor, the big, rough-and-tumble Brom Bones. When Ichabod is invited to a big party at fair Katrina's house, he uses his professorial standing and his, er, sophistication, to catch her eye and they dance while Brom watches glumly from a corner. Later everyone sits around the fire and they tell ghost stories. After the party, Ichabod mounts his borrowed horse, Gunpowder, and they head home through the cemetery, followed by a mysterious rider, just about the size and shape of Brom Bones -- except for the missing head. Music is "Night of the Wolf," performed by Nox Arcana.

  • I love the legend of sleepy hollow, its such a great american story. Around Halloween i love to scare children by dressing up like the headless horseman.

  • The horseman was really Brom Bones, of course. Except in the 1999 movie version.

  • "L. Ron Hubbard's body was found in a motor home with the air conditioner running, tucked behind animal stables on a small ranch outside Creston. His family wasn't there. His wife was in prison and his estranged son believed he was either dead or insane. In his final moments, the man who created a religion with a massive following was accompanied only by his doctor and lawyer." - "L. Ron Hubbard's last refuge

A controversial leader's time off the radar in Creston" New Times SLO (May 27, 2009)

  • Mi piace!!!! THANKS da YV:-)))

  • Really nice tribute to an iconic character, the rendition of the horseman I most remember apart from the Disney version would probably be Arthur Rackham's illustration's of the Horseman.

  • Thank you for sharing! Beautiful! Wish you nice and happy weekend! Michael
