  • @SeaMonkeyPrincess You are correct. I feel the movie represents that struggle that many in history have faced.

  • @RENEEisOnegative But of course, our nations youth must know that America was founded on greed, thievery and lies. The European peoples stole the land away from the native peoples through lies and deceit, and then proceeded to rape and plunder it, and kept on doing so through their own greed until they had every last piece of dirt under their possession. Then they had the audacity to force the Native peoples to live on meager little designated plots called Reservations. Yeah, digest that.

  • @123allrock Well I am sorry to hear that you feel this is confrontational. I thought we were haveing an interesting discussion.

  • @MrAwsome514 there is a lot of conflicting data on the volcano co2 issue but many find it intresting to note the volcanic eruptions verses "time" of the co2 spike have not increased from the past , since this thread is becoming confrontational I will no longer reply any longer , others are welcome to continue the debate.

  • @123allrock And incase you where wondering about what conflicts I was reffering to when I said there have allready been some generated by the desire to spread science based ideals... Hitler killed jews, gays, and an assortment of other minorities because he believed they where genetically inferior. Also did you know there are some athiest groups that believe religion needs to be done away with by force? So yea even some athiests think a lot like the pope did during the crusades...

  • @123allrock Also I have looked at the CO2 data. Where you aware that one volcanic eruption pumps out more green house gasses than the entire industrial revolution did? Human activity actually only accounts for a small portion of the green house gasses currently in the atmosphere. The rest where generated by natural processes such as volcanoes as previously stated.

  • @123allrock No religion is not the cause of the conflicts you are reffering to. The desire to force one's own ideals upon others was and has all ways been the cause of such conflict. Historically religion has predominantly been at the center of such conflict simply because science was not as sophisticated in the more violent eras of the past and it was also not as widespread. Just wait. There will and infact allready have been conflicts generated by the desire to spread science based ideals.

  • @MrAwsome514 Pulling the religon card from the deck has no virtue , in all honestly religion is the cause of more conflicts then just about about any other thing humans find issues to fight about , (even if said fighting goes aganst the very values that faith stands for thousands are killed around the world just because of the faith they practice) as far as the tree hugging issue goes ask any climate scientist about Co2 levels in the air we breath and the rate they are rising, look at the data

  • @123allrock Ok then tell me... How does the alien pagan religion fit in with this human rights message? Most of the movie to me sounded like one giant tree hugging propoganda piece. Last I checked tree huggers are against drilling for oil nomatter where it is for the purpose of preserving the surrounding habitat. So that whole bit about who has the rights to the resources is a moot point if the real message is about preserving nature.

  • @MrAwsome514 The RDA in Avatar are Mercenaries (hired guns working for the mining cooperation) perhaps this example would be closer to what you speak about there is a new documentery by david suzuki called "The nature of things , The Real Avatar, its about Awajun and Wampis peoples in Peru and in this case it involves mining of gold and oil rights verses the rights of the indigious peoples to land they must have in order to survive and be self suficent, the goverment and miltary are involved.
