Maureen Budway is a jazz vocalist who was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She started her career singing professionally with her brother, jazz pianist David Budway at a popular jazz club called 'The Balcony'. She went on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Performance from Duquesne University, where she studied both Classical and Jazz voice.
She then received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a winner of the Pittsburgh Concert Society Competition. She has performed the Duke Ellington Jazz Mass with Jazz drummer Louis Bellson, with downbeat pole winner Jeff "Tain" Watts at the Frick Mansion, the Hidden Valley Jazz Festival with flutist Hubert Laws, the Mellon Jazz Festivals and Kool Jazz Festival.
