This is an actual call I placed to AT&T on February 3rd, 2010 to order DSL service. It is both shocking and hilarious to hear what this representative has to say, and HOW he says it. It was not my initial intention to record this call, however after hearing things that were in complete contradiction to what I had been told prior to this call, I wanted to document it. So you enter into the call about 3-5 minutes into it (sorry).

Legal Note: In Missouri, one of the two parties must know if the phone conversation is being recorded. The FCC (Federal Communication Commission) may require one to be notified if the conversation may be recorded. The AT&T recording clearly states the conversation may be recorded for quality and training purposes. Therefore it was not needed for me to also disclose it. I encourage you to learn these laws and consult with an attorney as I did prior to attempting any corporate phone recordings.

  • He's right AT&T has limited amount of users they can have. I quit and wanted to go back but I couldn't.

    Did you just propose turning the responsibility on the customer? I worked for MCI, possibly the worst telecommunications in HISTORY, so I have first hand experience at this, so I have been in "someone elses shoe for a fucking change". I knew the basic rules of life without any training; Speak proper english, and tell the truth. AT&T contacted me and apologized and said he did misrepresent the company, so I don't see anything worth debating.

  • This guy is dumb. Why would you not place your order online were you can see the prices and get better deals. This Rep told him everything correct. If you hated a company this bad and there customer service would you sign up with them.

  • im a gamer and when i call at&t customer service to tell them that my ping goes up and lags at night (speed also slows down) they seem as though they have never heard of these terms. How do these people get these jobs? Also they tell me that everything is fine everytime and my connection continues to suck. I cant wait to get comcast.

  • @whiskeydence02 And oh yeah almost forgot, Unlimited everything that I could never hardly use was promised the $140 per month wouldn't go up but guess what!! :) it did to $190 and before the end of the month I already billed and paid the $140 they sent a bill for the remainder of the $50 for the month that I was never charged in the first place cause they hadn't yet fully taken over till after I was previously billed and have previously paid.

    Love you AT&T, go shut down like good criminals

  • ok WTH!!?? charging a bit more just for net made sense because its not package deal but QTF did any of that other shit make any sense??A LOOP on how many can get it and if you PAY for the year and want to disconnect you're already paid but then HAVE to pay a disconnection FEE??!! Hell when I got forced into it they took over my company I was on and forced us onto their contracts and I got 3 days of service per month out of then jack holes. Everyone here had that problem, they told me

  • BEST INTERNET!!!?!?!? BAHAHAHA i have been flaming AT&T for the exact OPPOSITE! If i start watching a youtube vid, and i walk away for it to buffer (my wifi was showing 100%) and come back 5 mins later, only 8% of the vid will be loaded (vid is 4 or 3 mins long)
