  • @rippler7 In addition, at the very beginning of Bro. Eli's answer, he clearly stated that "there is ALLEGEDLY a gospel of Judas"; so it does not follow your conclusion that it's insufficient when it had actually addressed your concern from start to finish. The answer was complete; your understanding was not. Review it when you can. :)

  • @rippler7 How can you say that it's insufficient? Did you not get the logic? Your argument is irrelevant. Whether or not the gospel of Judas exists, the proposition being argued here is the questionable authority of Judas to even write a gospel pertaining to the teachings of Christ. Thus, "I would rather believe the five persons of integrity than this one person who is reported to be a liar, a thief and a traitor." - Bro. Eli. Writings such as the one called 'gospel of Judas' belongs to 2Thes2:2

  • Not a sufficient rebuttal. I do not think Eli even bothered looking into the contents of the 'Gospel of Judas'. Also, the four Gospels were a selection made from among a myriad of several gospels, at which time, Paul must have already heard or read but one cannot discount it. Therefore considering the authenticity of the 'Gospel of Judas' still remains a mystery but one cannot argue that it exists and provides a different view as to explaining how Judas understood Jesus' teachings.

  • @postrea Jesus knew what Judas was going to do, He did not make Judas do it. Judas decided to follow Satan so Jesus ultimately used Judas to bring about the death of Jesus which was God's plan. God turned what was meant for evil into good.

  • i would like to keep an open mind and heart bcoz i would like to know the truth about the gospel of Judas...but can anyone answer the question of Pastor Myron Vierra : If it was Jesus' plan for Judas to betray Him, why would Jesus label Judas the "son of perdition" (John 17:12), and state that it would have been better if Judas had never been born (Matthew 26:24)? If Judas were simply following Jesus' instructions, why would he commit suicide once he saw that Jesus was condemned (Matthew 27:5)?
