  • dude I remember listeneing to this when I was like 6 years old, and I was totally blown away by this, I thought actual robots were sing this!!!!

I was so mesmerized and obsessed with this song that it used to drive me crazy and I always was really into neil young even at that young age

  • I know what you mean, me and my mates at the time used to nickname it the 'Cylon song' - (the robots from a sci fi show )

  • @Len1977gt that makes two of us, I was 6 and my dad handed me the record. He was a huge Neil Young record, and he bought me one because I couldn't leave his alone. I was nuts over it and still love it totay! This was music of the future right!? This song was the best one, but Transformer Man was good too. There's a Neil Young Live in Berlin vhs video where he does both songs and I know you'd like it, I had that as well as a kid :-)

  • You have to be shitting me. I have been searching for this for years!

    Thanks

  • @mrhoffame I was 18!

  • I can do all this on my PC now! 30 years later! Amazing!

  • @Len1977gt I konw what you mean. It did the same thing to me as a kid. I was 6 or 7 when I first heard it and it NEVER left me! It was beyond cool for me!

  • I ALWAYS figured this to be @DYNAMITE ! Great and Unusual,I could never get enough of this Video back then!

  • Yeah a wonderful song with something for every one but especially Neil's son Ben.

  • I remember going to this tour. I expected to see Neil Young the hippy and was blown away by this. I remember him going to the drum set, key board, ect and playing a rif or two that kept repeating. I had no idea what a sample was then but it was so cool the Neil played all the instruments without needing to be standing at them.
