  • The word YOGA is derived from the Sanskrit root "yuj", i "to yoke" [to the spirit] meaning "union of the Individual Soul (Atman) with the Universal Soul (Brahman). Yoga embraces a wide range of disciplines whose ultimate goal is the joining of body, mind and spirit, a conscious unification into Oneness. Gene Tagaban brings us all closer to the Oneness.

  • I love the him. He came to my school and told us stories. Ha i love watching him tell stories. <3

  • Thank you for posting this. Gene's playing and his stories are wonderful to listen to, and he is an amazing dancer.

I have always had a special connection to ravens, both because "The Raven" is my favorite poem by Edgar Allan Poe and also because of the raven being depicted in myths as a wise messenger and I have often been called an "old soul" or "wise spirit" by those who know me and have read the stories and plays I've written (I'm a writer).

  • Having had the distinct experience of meeting and watching Gene Tagaban at Stanford University Pow Wow on Mother's Day, I'm delighted with this opportunity to remark his amazing artistry, good humor, and impressive friendliness. The man is a force for goodness. Thank you, Gene, and aloha (praise/admiration) from Kanani, 79-yr-old-Buddhist -mama with a serious crush on you!
