This series was created exclusively for China after the Prime Minister of China canceled Ultraman because of his son being a big fan of the Ultraman saga and always watching it. He said that Ultraman was taking up too much of his son's time and boycotted it in China. Tsuburaya then replaced Ultraman w/ Metal Kaiser for Ultraman fans in China.Eventually Metal Kaiser being simailar to Ultraman was also boycotted. I think the series has been gone since early 2010.

This is actually being produced by Tsuburaya Productions in conjuncture with a Chinese studio, so it's no more a ripoff of Ultraman than Gridman.
