Here we see another good benefit and purpose for trapping. There are those that want to take issue with trapping as they do in other scenarios and call it animal cruelty. There are many good benefits to trapping and animal control. We would not try to convince those people that are so nasty and hateful with their speech that we consider them mostly illogical anyway, but those that are level-headed and can engange in civil debates over these issues we would like to share and offer to you that we are not cruel, heartless animal haters and do consider any animal suffering a bad thing. We simply hold a higher view of man over animals and see that a natural order of things would lead us to keep animal populations under control for many reasons. The reasons vary along with the animals. Further, we carefully consider how highly we esteem animals above God's purposed plan and charge given to men to rule over His planet. Romans 1:18-32 describe a terrible descent of man's thinking that leads to total depravity. Within this descent, at v. 25, the creation is worshiped rather than the Creator...we don't worship animals and place their needs above God's desires and still we see no reason to be unecessarily cruel, but God's plan is for men to dwell here. We have no remorse for controlling the animal population or using them however we see fit since God created them for man's purposes. M & M Outdoors does not consist of people who seek to be unnecessarily cruel to any animal.

@drumheadcircle The population of the Eastern Coyote is about 40% too high in Maine. Coyotes will kill deer and snowshoe hare indiscriminately, killing fair more than they can actually eat. The coyotes here are actually a wolf-coyote hybrid and they are responsible for reducing deer population from historic levels of about 20 per square mile to less than 1 deer per square mile in seven of Maine's sixteen counties. The coyote population must be managed, or we will lose other species.

If you rule them then eat them dumb ass! Send me some coyote or their fat...I can sure get my teeth around that! Killing for fun or sport? I'd like to sit and make you eat the entire critter...then your a man.

@beavthetrapper Just like oil companies they don't care for wildlife, well being of man and animals.
They put money before environment and future of wildlife.
Majorities of trappers are republican hicks.
Who are in favor for oil drilling, forest roads, coal exploitation and putting unrealistic religion into politics and confusing people with lies, their lies.
Republicans most of them are pro-oil and antienvironment.
Trappers bash at environmentalists.
If they hate environment they hate all life

@beavthetrapper No it doesn't , it's unnatural.
Conservation will fail if Earth runs out of habitat.
Some animals existed for long and have little to nearly zero disease rate such as the fisher and wolverine.
Probably others too.
They get killed for one reason. profit.
Even the species lacking in data and population trend get killed for sport, fashion and profit.
By the time we find data they will be endangered even critically endangered.
Government like trappers put money first.

@zaxtor the population natuarally shrinks by disease and starvation, however it is a agonizing way to die, the more often it happens the better the chance to kill a species to a point that hurts thier gene pool. mans overpopulation is making the animals become overpopulated easier. so it dosn't just look like it is overpopulated. when they loose habitat then they have to move, and when an area has more than it can provide for then it is overpopulated. hunting and trapping simply helps animals.
