That's awesome man! I'm from Greeley, but live in Oklahoma now. Haven't got my chance to go elk hunting in CO yet, but someday. Congrats man.

Well done mate! Love the heavy breathing lol I was doing exactly the same when I took my first Sambar stag here in Australia! U controlled yourself very well. Nice shot placement!

Great bull! nice shot...thx for posting.

That was a very clean shot! He was Quartered Away so he had to place that shot exactly the way he did! Definitely nailed the vitals and the elk didn't travel far at all after the shot! Great Job!

@somarvelis If you ever taste wapiti, you'll never want to buy beef at Safeway again. An excellent hunt, excellent shot, and excellent kill of an excellent bull. Congrats to the hunter.

No retard a clean shot is in the shoulder but it's hard to noshing so good job
What did he end up gross scoring? If they grew it, it counts in my book. None of that net stuff.

@IrkedCitizen 345 and change, netted 338 (nets are for fish, right?)

It was a Panasonic HPX170 which Wes Atkinson (my guide) was filming. He did an Outstanding job.
