this is a marine 2-stroke diesel engine being transported on a large flatbed vehicle. The engine was just offloaded from a cargo vessel, delivered from China to Philadelphia.

  • Schmecker...I've been exposed to Sulzer and Mitsuibishi diesel up until this past year. I know what you mean. I don't think they manufacture slow-speeds in Denmark (only for prototypes?), only med-speed engines.

  • look at the flywheel!

  • Wonder how much that cost to build.

  • Sorry to say, but no engines have been built in København (Copenhagen) for the past many years. But they still built them in Holeby and Frederikshavn. Copenhagen just manufactures "small" spareparts as pistons and fuelpumps.

  • Yes they are some are build in Frederikshavn and I think some in København (Copenhagen)

  • Are any of these built in Denmark anymore?
