@JohnWayneParr LOL JWP my hero! Great fighter and great personality. You're doing a great job with your daughter Wayne. I'm sure you and Angie are Proud. Can't wait to see the son training and fighting as well.

@JohnWayneParr I think you need to have a quiet coherant word with yourself in the corner, son. Martial arts are a discipline and this girl is very talented. Learning the discipline and the correct technique is one thing, but you need to spar to put it in to practice, which is all they do at that age, no power. No doubt this girl will become a professional fighter one day and she's loving every second of it, good on her too. I too am sorry to hear all the negative attention that this is getting.

What is this, is that girls, training?? That's disgusting. Don't they have Hanna Motanna to watch, why is this girl trying to live her so called dream? I bet the parents are using her to try and make money, makes me sick.

I'm sorry to hear all the negative attention this girl's dad has been getting. It seems they took all the necessary precautions before allowing the two girls to fight (shin pads, good sized gloves, mouth guard, and head gear). It's not like they went in there Without training. I've seen kids kb tournaments like this here in the US. Besides, at that age it's more like sparring, not too much power.
Wish those girls best of lick with their future training.

Great promo. My son is 9 and a brown belt in Taek Won Do... He's been going to competition since 6 years of age (Blue Belt). I agree that kids of that young age should focus on the fundamentals but how is that any different from other MA... Muay Thai seems to be a bit more "violent" than Judo but is actually safer at that age. (protection gear and power). Ever see a 7 yo flip a 9 yo... boy was crying when he hit the mat. As long as the kids learn the true meaning of MA and the discipline..

As a martial artist and one who also trains his children in such, I'm going to have to say that having children "fight" is wrong. Their bodies and brains need to develop freely and become strong. Brain jaring activities at such a young age will perminantly damage them. They should be focused on mastering the skills in question, and then when strong enough, maybe 17 or so, then they can go full contact. Of course, you train in contact activities before, but not the main focus and not in full.
