I'm seeing her sing Romeo from I Capuleti e i Montecchi in a few months time. I am indescribably excited!!!!!!!! Tickets cost me an arm and a leg, but it's going to be so worth it!!!

Orphee doesn't work unless it's sung by a man ... why does every husky-voiced chick in town think she can sing this role?

No. I think that Orpheus, especially in the Berlioz version, sounds better when sung by a mezzo. Especially such a brilliant one like Vesselina Kasarova.
