That was a old recording back to 2002. It's still the most difficult piece I've ever played.

Let people live man. There should not be any restrictions or limit on anybody. Anybody can play anything if he likes it. We play for our own pleasure first unless we are paid loads of dosh to play things that we don't like.

Nice performance. However,he seemed only care about speed and technique... missing the beautiful melody of this work. Compare this with Julian Bream's performance. You will see the difference at once.

How does one grow as a player he they only play pieces that are "within" their range. That is how you get better, by always upping the ante and learning pieces that are outside of your ablilites. But you can't go too far beyond your techncical ablilites or you will just frustrate yourself.

I agree with this, draully are you a musician? It is always good to challenge yourself, but it is equally important to concentrate on pieces that you can play well to build good habits and technique.
