When people say Lovine 'ruined the band' - would she have made it big time without them (Or would she have made it more 'in her own way'?) It seems an amazingly big leap from this beautiful and natural 'country' number to 'Show me Heaven'. On the other hand I love that song - and if Maria hadn't sung it it would never have sounded the same ..... (and we might never have heard of her).

This is when they were amazing and true to their country roots. All their shows at the Palomino were so great. Jimmy Iovine and every big shot around town all thought they knew best and ruined a truly great band.
