McChrystal is Wrong About Afghanistan!

Rachel Maddow and Frank Rich of the N.Y. Times discuss the practical side of not sending more troops to Afghanistan. Studys show there are less than 100 Al Qaeda operating in Afghanistan so why send 50,000 troops to catch 100 terrorists, thats something Bush would do.

Personally I think McChrystal is wrong and should be replaced for speaking out of turn. We should be taking troops out of Afghanistan and rethinking the whole strategy. The govt. installed under Bush is corrupt and opium trafficking has quadrupled. This war was handled poorly and should be replaced with a mobilized force and better relations in country's where Al Qaeda are so we can go in Pakistan or Saudi Arabia and get them. Lets not stay in a country where they no longer are.

@smowkdaddy I never said I liked Obama and in any case $9.58 trillion is better than $14.3 trillion and since the Great Recession occurred because of Bush's policies and no most bad loans were written by private institution at little to no encouragement by the government. Don't think so, Afghanistan is not our country and it is far easier to monitor threats to the US when we worry more about them coming here, than attempting to track them down as well as focusing on the Taliban over there. These people are more like criminals. Are you suggesting we invade Mexico?

We've sunk about $2 trillion into both wars, at least. $2 trillion! Without that and the Bush tax cuts we would have had an extra $4.72 trillion in the economy between 2001-2008, the crash may not have happened and we would not have needed a stimulus.
