  • @RoseInPink Me too. I don't care what people say about the original film being better - this one is great!

  • I love this film far too much. Much love for the Hound in the Red Jersey.

  • Actually, the book doesn't technically say it's Yorkshire - though you can tell by the accents of some of the characters!

  • "Oh, that's really exciting - what's a paper chase?"

  • As a matter of fact, this version of the film doesn't actually say anything about it being in Yorkshire, so I don't suppose that's really a problem!

  • Another bit is just before they go into the tunnel:

Peter: "He's probably lying there, his head on the metals, an unresisting prey to any..."

Bobbie: (pulls Peter's hat over his eyes) "Oh, stop talking like a book!"

  • It isn't in this clip, but I like this bit:

Phyllis: "I've got a PAIN in my front from being so HUNGRY!"

Peter: "Oh, give her a silly sandwich!"

  • As a matter of fact, I noticed last night that someone has uploaded the entire original film! I've just finished watching it and, although the purists will probably hate me for saying this, I think I would now even go as far to say that this version is actually better! OK, they didn't actually film it in Yorkshire, but you can't have everything!

  • Personally, I like this film. A lot of remakes of classic films have turned out to not be anything like as good as the original, but I think this is an exception!

  • NO! A travesty. Sorry, the original was wayy better :)
