@LilysMuma Hopefully you realize there are solo canoes, and solo whitewater canoes... my Mad River canoe has a middle seat for solo paddling although I wouldn't attempt to take it through whitewater solo, maybe that's what you're getting at but other boats are designed for this.

LilysMuma, No offense but if you pause the video at 1.28 you will see the word canoe on the side, the logo of Mad River Canoes, which to all intent and purpose must make this a canoe, surely...

looks like your friend was in a kayak- were you in a kayak too? No offense, but, do you know the diff between a kayak and a canoe?! If you were really in a canoe, you'd need to have a second person to help steer in the back-especially in the rough waters-Agawa River is beautiful- I've only spent time there in the summer though...it's like night and day comparing the scenery in diff. seasons, eh?
