@XxXMissPeppermintXxX Oh no, you're life just changed forever, sucks. Boohoo.

@NatamCohen Actually Alan Cumming twists them both together into an adaption that shows more depth. It's a combination of the devil and an innocent, mischevious child. In "Tomorrow Belongs To Me" the look on his face shows that he knows what could happen to him, even though he's always trying to "leave his troubles outside." At the end when he comes out in the camp uniform you can see that he knew this would happen all along. I think Alan's a genius for being able to really SEE the character.

@lunahate Actually this version of Emcee is much more realistic to the time than Joel Grey's doll like one. Emcee works at a Cabaret not a toy store.

this just doesn't compare to Joel Grey and his girls. this is just so cheap

Okay! Seriously.... Love Alan Cummings, but this was a little vulgar and not nearly as entertaining as the version in Cabaret
Hold up now, before we all go bashing Cummings. The man is awfully awfully talented and so was the director of the revival for a matter of fact. Being an Actress myself, I can tell you plainly that whatever you end up performing on stage is all done by the DIRECTOR'S vision. I personally do think it's pretty vulgar, but come on people the musical is called CABERET what are you looking for poise polish and modesty?

Cumming played the Emcee in the 1998 Broadway revival of Cabaret, for which he won a Tony and NY Drama Critics award. He's an amazing and talented actor, good for him.
