@Ethireall, I hope the great US of A will soon recover from whatever wrong doings your own people have placed it in. If you new what goes on in the EU all the way down to our poor countries and to the poorest of them all, you would feel a bit differently.
Nevertheless, not perfect but it is the best way of life in the whole World …

i'm not sure the founding fathers are much to look up to, for their stance on blacks, indians & women. some of the documents may sound nice, but i don't think this country ever represented freedom, justice or equality. it was a country for the white man. it would be nice to look back and say we ever had something to look back on that we should become again. it's better and bit more free and just than a muslim theocracy, but it's hard for me to mourn lost freedom & justice that never truly was.

As an 18 year old, i wake to the world with an open and warming mind. Yet, the reflection that comes back to me, is one of hatred and corruption. Those elected to safe guard our freedoms, are trying to strip them away, piece by piece. Our futures are depleting, our lives, dwindling.

@Ethireall yes, we have been deceived. We have to see past the rhetoric into the heart of others and when we do we see the hypocrisy, hate and ugliness.
It is a sad thing to wake up to but , as long as we have those like you willing to be an example of truth and honesty, there is hope that we will get it in return and it will domino
