Few years ago(may be in 2006) i happened to saw this MG EMU coaches at peralam station parked at loop lines which comes under mayiladuthurai tiruvarur section at loop lines for scraping . it"s really appears to be a heart breaking scene for me..today this section is closed for gauge conversion .with that it gone away from this world and .not to be seen forever........this video shows the glory and ability of these trains to overtake even BG express!

@vhtiger Peralam brings back memories for me. Back in the early 70s, I had a chance to visit my uncle and family in Karaikkal. At that time, MG was very much operational between Karaikkal and Peralam which was a junction (the other line coming from Thiruvarur). I remember traveling on a 3-coach MG Pass. between Karaikkovilpathu and Peralam - hauled by a YG. Those were the days!
