I agree, I never liked the steering on the Corsa, it was always too light for me and didn't give me enough feel for the road. But it's not a racing car.. so..

I think in all honesty a 1.2 is ok, a 1.4 even better... The 1.3CDTI is powerful for what it is! But do avoid the 1.0!

My work temporarily hired me this same spec Vauxhall Corsa (60 Plate), it's suitable for town (inner city) driving but as a motorway car it is terrible. Even on slight slopes it is woefully underpowered, and makes overtaking a real challange and dangerous because it doesn't take long for other cars to be right behind you. Not what you'd expect from a 16V 1.2 engine. My old 1.3 8v Polo MK II had much more oompf than this car, I don't think I'd like to drive this again.

@adamc260 the steering on the corsa is not the most direct in that model year.. if you take a look at the new 2011 model i have driven you can see the steering is tighter and more direct.. but your right..
