Cute! I have Chinese Painted Quail, they hatch and lay thier own chicks, but I am going to incubate and egg and handrear the chick, keep it as my little buddy (:

That's cool. If you hand raise a baby quail that's a about day old, or less, and don't let them see other quail until they are older, they make really fun little pets. I've raised button quail, Texas A&M quail, bob white quail, and California valley quail like that and they make really fun pets. If you leave them with other quail though, they will never be as tame or as social as those raised only around people.
