Coughing cat with thumbs

Poorly polydactyl cat called jipp suffering from nasty human-like cough. Initially vet diagnosed cat asthma but when cough continued we went back. Today he had an x-ray and probe to check for foreign body in his throat. Nothing was found although he had a lot of mucus in his nose which was infected. They flushed his nose through to clear it. The vet prescribed strong antibiotics (Baytril Oral Solution) and a decongestant (Bisolvon Powder). Hopefully this will stop the cough and he will make a speedy recovery. He's a strong old cat, fingers crossed he will be back to his old self soon.
