Pan, the god of the fields and forests fell in love with a nymph named Syrinx. Syrinx however rejected the god but still, she was pursued. She came to the stream of the river Ladon in western Arcadia, and with no hope of escaping, asked the nymphs of the river for help. She was transformed into marsh reeds. Pan, anguished at not being able to have Syrinx, picked the marsh reeds and made Pan Pipes from them thus playing this melody on them. Debussy, inspired by Pans sense of loss, anger and sadness, composed this monody for Flute. It was then later transcribed for Alto Saxophone by Jean-Marie Londeix. I hope you enjoy.

  • seems fake Sound doesn't sync when you take a breath

  • @Brickmasta6

Sound isn't fake. The performance was recorded with an audio device for better quality. I tried as best as I could to put the sound on top of the video but I am a musician, not a professional video editor. I apologise if this has interfered with your viewing pleasure of my video.

    Kindest regards,

    John

  • @Brickmasta6

Also, I think the sound you're hearing is the echo...

  • @Johnjy2 ok lol

  • i just got this solo yesterday and ive played it sooo much since then i have the whole thing memorized. This is one of the most fun solos ive ever played, it never gets boring because there is always something that can get better. The only thing is that a note got cut off on my copy, i think i know what it is. Its in the faster section so it was difficult to hear out but i think i got it. Great job man!

  • @ChristianCamouflage i have the emotion but i suck at reading music haha ad i dont think i could memorize it haha
