@TristanStarr i started out in the industry as a clinical cosmetologist specialising in camouflage,,this includes non surgical hair replacemant using different methods all trichologist approved & safe,,i later specialised in the field of non surgical hair replacement & extensions,,I became a teacher/trainer,,the techniques i use & my own services still all have a Trichologist approval,,,,so amongst making wigs & facial prosthetics yes 25 yrs ago i was weaving,,i hope that answers ur question???

@forloxsake I didn't say weaves were not done 25 years ago I asked how many did you do... My point is that you threw your 25 years experience in the mix when most cosmetologist did not and still do not do extensions. I wanted to know if extensions is your background that was the point. But I disagree that this method is as bad as you state maybe when I get 25 years in I will see it but as of now I do not. Peace

@TristanStarr Tristan,,what point are you trying to make???maybe you think black women didnt wear weaves 25 years ago??? but that would clearly be very ingnorant of you wouldnt it?? as an extension technician even with only 9 years experience surely you would know that weaves have been around much longer than 25 years,,anyway,,this banter is pointless,,we should agree to disagree here,,

@forloxsake Most of my time in the industry has been spent on extensions and maybe I am just doing it right but I have not seen the damage you speak of and that is in my experience. Almost every method out there (that I have seen or done) the main damage is done by improper removal. When I was in school I taught my teachers how to do extensions (25 years ago how many weaves did you do?).... Like I said this method is ok

@TristanStarr good for you Tristan,,i have been in the business over 25 years,,im a qualified teacher & i have seen the aftermath of this method on many clients & sadly breakage does occur,,im actually rather horrified that u r defending this example of quite obvious poorly applied work,,blind freddie can see she dosent do a good job,

@forloxsake I am a hair stylist and I have been trained (not watched you tube vids) to do the top layer first. In my 9 years of weave styling I have found that there are just different ways to do things. This method works it does not pull out the hair and it comes out very easily.

@TristanStarr ,,not that i would EVER use this method of extensions,,if u want to be an extension technician & use wefted hair,,learn to weave,,,the few hairs the 2 pieces are stuck onto wont withstand the weight of the extensions for very long, however from the tutorials i have seen on this method the bottom piece is usually applied 1st,,its neater,,this womans application technique is unprofessional,,the 2 pieces r not even lined up with each other,,very messy & amateur,,
