For those having the problem not being able to finish the level because Valerie won't follow you (like if the battle doesn't end), that's a common glitch and the only way to solve it for now is restarting the level. SORRY.
By the way, man, you should brighten your screen resolution a bit. I remember playing this game and it wasn't THAT particulary dark by then. I didn't need the Night Vision Googles when I found Valerie down there. Of course I had to brighten the game a little bit too.

its the same by me. i'm by valarie but the level dont end, and all trigins are dead.

dont exit and close the elevator door another monster will come and shoot you but door cannot open so monster shooting itself and finally went down. While this monster shooting at you try to kill soldiers with nightvision goggles those guys is always comes at catwalks.

I think this may help me get past the big bastard now but I don't have a shotgun. All I have is the sniper rifle, rocket launcher, machete and the grenade launcher rifle (that you use) to wear him as he comes around the corner. Anyway will try it now as this part was driving me fackin nuts -- having to repeat it all the time. I agree too; one of the best games ever made! Installed it on every system I ever owned and even bought the Hawaiian shirt and khaki pants.
