The Grocott's Mail Citizen Journalism Newsroom was launched on 8 September 2009 at Grocott's Mail in Grahamstown, South Africa. The facility, which consists of 10 computers equipped with data cables, card readers and Bluetooth dongles, allows members of the Grahamstown community to walk in and write stories, transfer photos and upload their contributions to the MyStory section on Grocott's Online - www.grocotts.co.za. This is a slideshow of photos from the official launch, with an audio narration explaining the purpose of the facility, along with quotes from Michael Salzwedel, Khaya Thonjeni and Harry Dugmore, all of whom are closely involved with the initiative.
