A starting salary of $28 an hour + those fancy benefits for a job any idiot can do is overpaid.

How much do teachers and nurses make.

I put 400,000 miles on my toyota. People are lucky to get 100,000 out of an America car.

Poor quality, gas guzzlers are the downfall of the car industry in the US.

This is where you just plain don't know what you're talking about. My best friend makes over $15.00/hr with honda making components. I'm not a fan of the republicans, but please dont' drag Honda /non-big three auto workers into your propaganda. It's unfair. Unions have always hated competition.

$30 an hour is only about $50,000-$60,000 a year. This is a middle class standard of pay. Much less than that then you are in the poverty level of wages.

the Auto industry in Canada my father worked for until he retired. Ford Oakville assembly plant. What killed the Union was the division of the Untited autoworkers areospace industry into seperate entities. These guys sluged it out long before the high tech we can enjoy now with robotics. They earned it and set a the standards that supported schools taxes and the lists endless. Think about it you loose 3000 workers in any community it effects everyone.

$30 an hour is nothing in today's world. When I was a boy, my dad had a house and a car for 6 dollars an hour, now with three times as much per hour, you can't possibly have that. Stop pointing the finger in the wrong direction.

30 dallors an hour? nowonder the auto industry crashed. I use to grind on steel for 10 hours a day,15 dallors an hour.You were paid too much,so both the union and the industry are both greedy!
