@bart11114: It's true to Segar's trip & the early Fleisher/Famous cartoons. The only reason it tanked was 'cause it was pitted against E.T. the Extra Terrestrial. Even one of the few live-action versions of a cartoon to get it 100% right couldn't touch Steven Speilberg in the 80s/90s as a director. E.T. & Jurassic Park saw to that.

I have this movie when I was lil kid! I thank GOD I have it bck then! Otherwise i'll never know it! I used to watch it with my bro over & over again! IT'S SOOO FUN! Robin Williams played Popeye very well! As if I believe Popeye is REAL! I just LOVE all the musics in it! I just MISS THIS MOVIE!!! I REALLY DO!!!! Popeye and Olive is ALIVE ppl!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D
